Frequently Asked Questions

Contributions

  • I want to submit a diary/journal entry but not sure what I should write about.
    • Your entries can vary on what you want to talk about that capture what it’s like to be living in this moment of time.  Our lives went from having a set normal to being completely disrupted almost overnight. Write about the good moments and the bad moments.  Our goal is to show the impact that a global pandemic has on our day to day and week to week lives.
    • Some possible topics:
      • What is it like to have your normal day to day routine completely altered?
      • What was it like to be a study abroad student during this time period?
      • How did it feel to have to leave school and return home?
      • What is like to be under a shelter at home order?
      • How has it felt to practice social distancing?
      • What effect has this had on your day to day life?
      • How has this affected your research projects?
      • How have your classes changed?
      • What is like to be home with kids trying to work or go to school?
      • What has it been like to go out in public right now?
      • How has it been to go to the grocery store?
  • Can I upload my diary/journal entries as a separate document?
    • Yes.  If you type up your diary/journal entry using a word processor we recommend that you export the file out as a PDF, which will help us with long-term preservation.  You can also upload most standard word processing formats.
