This image is one of the most emotional for me on a personal level. The image consists of a colorful ‘Happy Birthday’ balloon surrounded by a rather dark aura. Recently, my youngest sister celebrated her 10th birthday during the quarantine. This image, to an extent, represented both my feelings and her feelings as we felt disappointed and sad that her age became double digits for the first time during such a bad time. The brightness of the balloon and the lettering represents the beauty of what a celebration should be but the gray around it represents the negativity that COVID had brought. Every day, someone is celebrating something but is limited to how happy and joyous they can be due to the conditions of the world.
